Hi, I'm Sue — designer, dreamer, and the founder of Amberain Concept.
My journey into bridal design began with a simple belief: every bride deserves a made to order gown that makes her feel truly, completely herself. Not a dress she squeezed into, not a style that was almost right — but the dress, the one that captures who she is and how she loves.
That belief was shaped by years of real, hands-on experience in the world of fashion. I graduated from TAFTC Singapore, one of Singapore's leading fashion institutions, in 2014 — where I built a deep, technical foundation in garment construction, textile science, and fashion design. From the moment I graduated, I stepped straight into the fashion industry, and I have been working within it ever since. Over more than a decade — from 2014 to today — I have developed an intimate, expert understanding of fabrics and textiles that goes far beyond what most brides ever see: how different materials behave under different lighting conditions, how they drape and move on different body types, how they age over a long wedding day, and how to select the right fabric not just for beauty, but for comfort, structure, and longevity.
It is this technical depth that quietly sits behind every bespoke gown I design. When I recommend French lace over Italian satin for a particular bride, or when I suggest crepe instead of chiffon for a specific venue, those recommendations come from over ten years of working with fabric every single day — not from guesswork or trend-following.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of designing gowns for brides from all walks of life across Singapore. Chinese brides, Malay brides, Indian brides, Eurasian brides — each one has taught me something new about beauty, culture, and the way love shows up in the details. This has shaped my entire philosophy as a designer: there is no single ideal of bridal beauty. There is only your beauty, and my job is to bring it out.
I founded Amberain Concept to offer something Singapore's bridal scene was missing — a truly personal, collaborative design experience that combines genuine couture-level expertise with a price range that does not require a luxury-brand budget. Whether you choose a semi bespoke design or prefer one of our rental options, I work closely with a trusted team of skilled overseas artisans who share my obsession with craftsmanship. Together, we make sure that every seam, every bead, and every layer of fabric reflects the bride's story with precision and love.
